Joe Lyons is a Vice President of Cyber Research and Thought Leadership at Bitsight, where he leads a multidisciplinary team that aims to advance how cyber telemetry and exposure intelligence shape modern risk analysis. His work focuses on connecting cybersecurity data to financial and systemic risk, helping organizations better understand their exposure. Joe also heads Bitsight TRACE, the company's research publication program exploring topics like supply chain risk, infrastructure exposure, and third-party dependencies.
Before joining Bitsight, Joe was a founding member of VisibleRisk, a Moody's joint venture, and previously worked in financial services cybersecurity, specializing in threat detection and response, vulnerability management, and offensive security.
