Bitsight Strengthens Executive Team with Appointments of CFO, General Counsel and SVP of Partnerships

Industry Veterans Join Trusted and Time-Tested Security Ratings Market Creator as Company Drives Next Stage of Growth

Bitsight, the Standard in Security Ratings, today announced the appointment of three key hires that strengthen its executive team and support the company through its next stages of hyper-growth. In newly created positions, Brian Cohen joins Bitsight as the company’s first Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Elizabeth Fischer joins as the General Counsel, and Dave Fachetti, Bitsight Board Member and investor from leading venture capital firm Globespan, joins Bitsight as the Senior Vice President of Partnerships.

The Bitsight Security Ratings Platform generates objective, outside-in ratings on companies’ security performance. Ratings range from 250 to 900, where higher ratings equate to lower risk. More than 650 customers, including 80 of the Fortune 500, leverage Bitsight Security Ratings to manage third party risk, underwrite cyber insurance policies, benchmark performance, conduct M&A due diligence and assess aggregate risk.

Brian Cohen – CFO

With over 30 years of experience as a finance executive, Cohen’s financial and operational leadership in publicly traded and privately held venture backed companies will support Bitsight’s accelerated growth. He has an extensive background in finance, administration, corporate strategy, operations, IPO readiness and planning. Prior to joining Bitsight, Cohen served as CFO of DigitalOcean, a rapidly growing cloud hosting company. He has led many equity and debt financings and has a proven track record of creating significant shareholder value including successful liquidity events with Jumptap, DynamicOps, and Q1 Labs.

Elizabeth Fischer – General Counsel

Fischer joins Bitsight from Constant Contact, a leading publicly traded email marketing SaaS solution that was taken private by Endurance International Group. At Constant Contact, Fischer served as a business and legal advisor on all matters, including corporate and business development, governance, intellectual property, regulatory, customer and strategic partner contract negotiations, M&A, and litigation matters. Prior to Constant Contact, Fischer worked in the Technology Companies, M&A and Public Companies groups at Goodwin Procter, where she represented technology companies in all legal matters, including venture capital financings, technology licensing, corporate governance, public offerings and public company reporting requirements.

Dave Fachetti – SVP of Partnerships

Fachetti brings an extensive background in negotiating large, complex, strategic transactions, along with a wealth of experience in building industry leading companies that have achieved successful corporate milestones including both IPOs and M&A events. He joins Bitsight from Globespan Capital Partners, where he will continue to serve as a Managing Director. He has been a key member of Globespan's investment team and intimately involved in the firm's investments in more than 100 companies. He has personally been an active Board member in more than 20 companies, including Bitsight, serving as an early investor and Board member. His experience as both a senior executive and Venture Capitalist brings a unique combination of deal making, strategy, market awareness and operational execution to the Bitsight team.
