What do you do at Bitsight? Help with testing and deployment of Bitsight software and services.

How long have you worked at Bitsight? 1.5 years

What is your background? How did you get into engineering? I have degrees in Electrical Engineering and Zoology. I've always been pretty curious about how things work and engineering was a natural fit.

What challenges you the most at Bitsight? Lots of day to day shifting priorities.

What is your biggest accomplishment? Great learning experience and introduction to SaaS, exposure to cybersecurity and cutting edge scrum environment. I’ve had a lot of fun working with members of the engineering team, helping to build out container automation, testing and deployments, getting product out and deployed on a daily basis.

What advice do you have for someone first getting into this field? Enjoy the learning opportunities, when you can look to help each other, be persistent in your goals and ambitions.

What are some other companies you admire from an engineering perspective and why? Early in my career I was fortunate to work at Digital Equipment Corporation and at that time was introduced to some very sound engineering practices that have stayed with me throughout my career.

Who is your biggest inspiration and why? My parents, they always believed in me.

What is the last book you read/movie you watched? "The Rational Optimist"/"A Man Called Ove"

If you weren’t an engineer, what would you like to be? A park ranger

What is the last place you traveled and what did you do there? Thailand, hung out at the beach with my wife and visited with some friends.
