What do you do at BitSight and how long have you worked here? I started working at BitSight in January 2018. I’m working to create “BitSight Academy,” a destination within the BitSight portal to find all on-demand, customer eLearning and Product Training assets
What is your background/How did you get into Customer Success? I’ve worked in the Software-As-A-Service space in Boston as an Instructional Designer and Technologist for the last 15 years and earned an M.Ed in this space from Lesley University in Cambridge. I was lucky enough to join the BitSight Customer Success team in January, 2018 in order to design and produce an automated approach to on-boarding our entry-tier customers via eLearning.
What challenges you the most at BitSight? Gaining in-depth understanding of cybersecurity as it continually evolves.
What is your favorite thing to work on at BitSight? Learning Management System administration and processes to automate learning online.
What is the most important thing you learned at BitSight? The most important thing learned: “We don’t win alone, we don’t lose alone.” It truly is a collaboration and team-oriented approach to success.
What advice do you have for someone first getting into this field? Cybersecurity can seem daunting, but if you commit yourself to learning one new thing each day, over time you will have a broad understanding of how our portal can help our customers solve even the most complex issues...that’s gratifying.
What is your favorite quote? “Less is more.”
What was the last book you read? “Everything that Remains,” by The Minimalists (by Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus), a memoir about adopting a minimalist lifestyle to create more joy in your life.
If you weren’t working in Customer Success, what would you like to be? In an Elephant Sanctuary in Thailand volunteering to care for the animals, or in York Beach, Maine at my family’s beach house.
